I was offered the opportunity to work on an independent directed study during my final semester at art school. I thought it would be a good idea to create a cohesive, project based portfolio. I would take an existing property and spend the semester creating an "art of" book for a hypothetical movie based on that source material. I chose to work from the novel "The Night Circus" by Erin Morgenstern. These are the layouts for the book I made and include my illustrations and visual development from the semester.
